A receipt proves what was recorded, by which key, in what order.
The statement is what was recorded. The signature names the key. The parent link is the order. A signed Merkle checkpoint covers every receipt in the session with one signature.
What it does not prove: that the answer was right, or that anyone else witnessed the clock. A wrong answer with a perfect receipt is still wrong.
